Alicia Kearns MP has announced the winner and joint runners-up of Rutland and Stamford’s Favourite Pub Awards, following almost 2,500 votes from residents.
The Woodhouse Arms in Corby Glen has been crowned Rutland and Stamford's Favourite Pub, with The Griffin Inn in Irnham and The Green Dragon in Ryhall named as joint runners-up.
This one-off competition was launched to celebrate the vital role local pubs play as community hubs, while highlighting the current challenges facing the hospitality sector. With rising costs continuing to put pressure on businesses, Alicia hopes these awards will raise the profile of pubs in our communities, and encourage more people to support their local.
