Alicia Kearns MP has organised a meeting with South Kesteven and Rutland Parish, District and County Councillors whose wards are affected by the Mallard Pass Solar Plant to meet senior representatives from Quinbrook Infrastructure Investment, the company which has acquired Mallard Pass.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:
"This was an important opportunity for our local representatives to set out any questions they have about the acquisition and kick start the process of ensuring fair compensation for all those who will be affected by Mallard Pass.
"The meeting was positive, and discussions were held on compensation, ethical procurement, community engagement, traffic plans and more. Quinbrook agreed to look into issues of particular concern and committed to future engagement with the wider community.
"I am grateful to my team for making the meeting happen since I couldn't be there myself."
