Alicia Kearns MP will be holding two public meetings to update residents on the latest proposals for Local Council Re-Organisation.

The meetings are open to all Rutland, Stamford and South Kesteven residents to learn more about what proposals local Councils are putting forward to the Government following the initial Friday 21st March deadline.

The Oakham event will focus on proposals for Rutland, and the Stamford event will focus on the proposals for Lincolnshire, however all residents are welcome to attend and Alicia will cover proposals for both counties as they are inter-linked.

The meeting dates and locations are as follows:

Monday 24th March: 6 – 7.30pm at the Victoria Hall in Oakham.

Thursday 27th March: 5.30 - 7pm at Stamford Arts Centre.

Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:

“I am holding these meetings as an opportunity for me to set out for residents my understanding of the proposals that have been submitted to Government, and what happens next.

“I have been calling for multiple options to go forward to Government and crucially for residents to give their views on, so I want to hear your feedback on these plans for the future of Local Government in our communities.”
