Pub Awards

Alicia Kearns MP has launched a one-off competition to find Rutland and Stamford’s favourite pub, inviting residents to vote for the local pub they believe deserves to be crowned as the area’s favourite.

The awards aim to celebrate the vital role local pubs play as community hubs, while highlighting the current challenges facing the hospitality sector. With rising costs continuing to put pressure on businesses, Alicia hopes these awards will raise the profile of pubs in our communities, and encourage more people to support their local.

Voting is open on here until midday on Friday 14th August.

The winning pub and runner-up will be announced at the end of August.

Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:

“Our local pubs are so much more than places to enjoy a drink or bite to eat - they're where communities come together and connect.

"But our pubs are under real pressure from rising costs and new tax burdens. Across the country too many pubs are closing, and that's why I'm delighted to launch my Rutland and Stamford's Favourite Pub Awards as a one-off this Summer - to celebrate and shine a spotlight on the huge number of wonderful pubs we have across our communities, and encourage everyone to get behind our locals. Let’s give them our support and celebrate them this Summer!”
