Alicia Kearns MP asked the Chancellor whether she will expand the 5p per litre rural fuel duty relief to the rural areas that desperately need it.

Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:

"We need the Government to take action on fuel costs which are hitting rural communities like ours especially hard.

"Instead of a serious answer to a policy suggestion, the Minister made an unnecessary party-political attack.

"Our rural communities deserve better."
