Alicia Kearns MP has visited the site for Oakham's new Mobi Hub which will provide a new on demand bus service for the whole of Rutland.
The first zone covering the North East of Rutland between Oakham and Melton will start as early as this month on 31st March and will be free to use for the first three months.
Ahead of the launch a series of road show events will be taking place for residents to find out more about the new services and ask any questions about bookings and routes.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:
"I promised to improve local bus services, and that's what we did by securing the funding from Government.
"The new buses and hub, with community rooms, space for local providers and gardens will become a reality thanks to part of our £23.7 million joint Levelling Up Funding."
