Alicia Kearns MP welcomes the Government's commitment to social media restrictions for children under the age of 16.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:
"For months we have pushed for stronger protections. Now we have forced change to ensure our children are safe online.
"The reality is that social media algorithms are designed to be addictive, and too often expose our children to harmful content and hostile actors.
"Children deserve the chance to grow up without being exploited online, and I’m relieved the Government has finally recognised this.
"We will hold them to this promise."
