Rutland and Melton MP Alicia Kearns appeared on BBC Radio Leicester this morning to discuss Rutland and Melton's COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
Commenting, Ms Kearns said:
"Great to speak to BBC Leicester this morning about our local COVID-19 vaccination programme.
"Rutland and Melton residents are already being vaccinated in Oakham, Billesdon, Melton, Leicester hospitals, Grantham, Stamford, Northamptonshire and in the Rushcliffe area!
"On top of this, some residents will be given the choice to travel further away from home to places such as Birmingham to get their vaccine quicker at mass vaccination hubs.
"However, to be clear, this is an additional service to give you faster access to a vaccine, but you can still wait for a local invitation too. It is not an either, or, and we will also have mass vaccination hubs closer to home in coming months."
