Dementia

Last year the Olive Branch in Clipsham kindly supported Alicia Kearns MP's dementia campaign with ‘Dine For Rutland Dementia’, asking guests who enjoyed a discounted two-course menu to make a contribution to support dementia groups across Rutland.

Thanks to residents' generous contributions, a location in Uppingham has been secured to run a second Rutland carers group for those supporting loved ones with dementia on the second Monday of each month until March 2027.

The group will be led by members of the Admiral Nurse and Carers team from Rutland County Council.

In addition to supporting this group, the funding continues to support the Acorn singing group for those living with dementia in Rutland, and their family and friends.
