The first zone of Rutland's new on-demand bus service starts today. Zone 1 covers Oakham and goes eastward to Clipsham and westwards to Whissendine and Melton Mowbray.
If you live anywhere in the yellow zone on the map you can order an on-demand bus from today. There are also static routes as shown in purple, red and pink, linking Melton and the Melton villages.
Zones 2 and 3 cover the remainder of the county and are due to go live later this year. This will mean the whole of Rutland will have an on-demand bus service for the first time ever.
The service is free to use for the first three months and only £1 per journey after this - the service will continue to be free for passengers with a valid bus pass after June 28.
To book, you can visit here or call 0345 234 3344, 7am - 7pm Monday - Friday and 8am - 6pm on Saturdays.
