The first Rutland and Stamford Disability Forum is taking place on Friday 14th March from 10.15 - 12.00 at The Barnsdale Hotel, LE15 8AH.
The first 45 minutes, from 10:15am-11:00am will be an opportunity for attendees to interact and meet various organisations from around Rutland, Stamford, South Kesteven and the Harborough Villages who are service providers, charities and community groups that support those with a whole range of disabilities in our area. I hope this will widen awareness of some of the organisations working locally to improve support available to all.
From 11:00-12:00 we will come together in a series of roundtable discussions where attendees can share and reflect on your own experiences of living with a disability in the Rutland and Stamford constituency, topics will include: transport, leisure, education and skills, employment, housing and health. I will then take away the discussions we have and identify what I can do to better support those living with disabilities in our communities.
If you wish to attend please sign up below.
If you wish to host a ‘stall’ as a support provider or local group, please tick the box below and a form will be sent to you – there is no cost.
I look forward to meeting you all on Friday 14th March -
