Make Our Roads Safer for Our Communities

Essendine

Members of our communities deserve a robust and reliable transport infrastructure, and I have been working hard to improve our local road networks so we can get to work and back to our families safely, whilst also supporting green transport options wherever possible.

That’s why I campaigned so hard to secure five safety upgrades from the Tinwell Junction to the Colsterworth Interchange in 2023. In more good news, National Highways has completed the closure of the first thirteen A1 central reservation crossings - a priority request of mine. Whilst over the next few decades we will need many more improvements, I'm relieved to have secured these first changes.

We also need more footpaths across our communities, increased funding to fix our potholes and invest in improving our transport infrastructure.

Whether it be the A47, B6047, A6121 or our smaller roads, I know road safety is a priority for you and it will be for me.
