Alica Kearns MP Opens Almshouse in Hallaton

Alicia Kearns MP has opened the Hallaton & Isabella Stenning Trust's newest Almshouse in Hallton – the beautiful Isabella Cottage.

HIST does an incredible job preserving the character of the beautiful village of Hallaton – and their Almshouses only serve to strengthen the community.

This is the latest of HIST’s sixteen Almshouses in Hallaton. The properties are available to those with strong connections to Hallaton, who might not be able to afford to live in their village.

There is a preference to those who are active in village life – meaning that these high quality homes really help to strengthen the Hallaton community. Unusually for Almshouses, occupancy is not based on age at all.

Alicia was delighted to be joined by the two girls who will be moving in to help her cut the ribbon of Isabella Cottage – model home from a tremendous charity.
