Since being elected in 2019, Alicia Kearns MP has supported and advised 30,000 residents with serious problems or policy.
On reaching this milestone, Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton, said:
"I became an MP because I wanted to help people, those who come to me in their darkest moments, when it feels like every other door has been closed to them.
Working with my amazing team we do everything we can to help that person, family or business. From securing a resident the health appointment they needed to get the diagnosis that saved their life, to challenging landlord failing to support vulnerable residents, it is my greatest joy to help people.
On top of what is known as ‘casework’, I also receive hundreds of emails each week from residents asking for advice or views on policy.
Last week we hit the 30,000 milestone - that’s 30,000 residents who have been in contact since 2019 with a serious problem or asking for advice!
I can’t always help, but I’ll always do everything in my power to make a difference."
