The UK has now left the European Union. Marking the occasion, Alicia Kearns MP said:
"There are many who doubted that this day would ever arrive, but tonight the UK has left the European Union. I was proud to vote in favour of the Withdrawal Agreement Bill and play a small role in this historic moment for our great country.
"I look forward to a strong and prosperous future relationship with our European friends, which I am confident our Prime Minister will deliver.
"Regardless of whether you voted leave or remain, this is an opportunity for our country to heal and unite with the prosperity and health of our nation as a shared objective. From tonight, we can be a truly United Kingdom once more."
