Livestock Worrying Bill to be Debated in Parliament

Alicia Kearns MP has worked with Thérèse Coffey MP to bring forward The Dogs (Protection of Livestock) (Amendment) Bill before Parliament.

The Bill will make provision changing the law about the offence of livestock worrying, and will be debated in February 2024.

Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton, said:

"I have long campaigned for the urgent need for a livestock worrying law to put an end to the distress and damage this causes for our farmers.

"I am very pleased that working with Thérèse Coffey we have brought forward a Livestock Protection Bill to make provisions for changing the law about livestock worrying.

"The Bill is due to be debated in February 2024, and I will keep you all updated on its progress."
